I stayed two nights at the hotel and the rooms really are gorgeous -ultra luxurious and modern. It is a great hotel but there are some things to bear in mind. One most of the rooms do not have a sea view and two, there is no beach directly in front of the property. This isn't too much of a problem as there is a free shuttle which transfers you the 5 min down the road to the lovely beach but if you want to step out from your room onto the beach, this isn't the place. There is also quite a walk from some of the rooms to the main areas. The suites are incredible if you can afford them.
Located in the heart of Stone Town, Zanzibar this stunning property is set in two historic seafront buildings that have been integrated and restored into a unique single property echoing the grandeur of days past. One was an 18th century house, the other the offices of telecommunication in later colonial times. Stone Town is a legendary place full of old palaces with intricately carved doors and colourful spice and fruit markets. The hotel is elegance itself as well as romantic and it offers the best in island hospitality. All the bedrooms overlook the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the lazy dhows that plough beneath the restaurant's windows. The interiors echo Zanzibar's rich Arab influence – intricately carved doors and furniture coupled with colourful mosaic flooring.
We adored Tanzania and the whole safari experience. We’ll definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone. We loved the scenery in the Ngorongoro Crater. We saw a rhino there! The Serengeti felt like a true safari experience really wild and so much space. Saw lion cubs and baby elephant which I was really excited about
