Day 1 - 3:

Arrive Livingstone and transfer by road to the River Club. The River Club is situated 18 kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. The camp has a distinct Edwardian flavour and guests enjoy the sights and sounds of the Zambezi River in a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds. Activities included – Vic Falls Zambian side visit, trip to local African village, visits to Livingstone town, the Livingstone museum and Railway museum, fishing, sundowners boat trips and visit to Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.

Day 4 - 6:

Today you will fly by light aircraft to the South Luangwa National Park via Lusaka Airport and Mfuwe. Your safari guide will meet you at the airstrip and drive you to Kalumu Camp.

Kalumu Camp is situated in the Luamfwa Concession in the southern sector of the South Luangwa National Park. Kalamu Tented Camp takes its name from the adjacent Chankalamu River, a seasonal tributary of the Luangwa. The deeper pools of the river and a nearby seasonal lagoon hold large vocal pods of hippo and silent crocodiles. These waters attract elephant, buffalo, puku, impala, yellow baboon and other species in increasing numbers as the season progresses and other water sources dry up. The Park’s dominant antelope species are impala and puku, with other antelope being the common waterbuck, bushbuck, kudu and grysbok. Unique species such as Thornicroft’s giraffe, Sharpe’s grysbok, yellow baboon and Cookson’s wildebeest can also be seen. There are also elephant, buffalo, warthog, hippo and crocodile, and the main predators are lion, leopard, spotted hyaena and wild dog. But it is the birding which is spectacular with specials such as Böhm’s Spinetail, Western Banded Snake-Eagle and Collared Palm-Thrush. Spend your time at the camp enjoying game drives or game walks; a combination of the two is probably the most popular activity.

Day 7 - 9:

After your morning game activities and breakfast you will transfer back to the airstrip for your flight via Mfuwe and Lusaka to the Busanga situated in the north-west corner of the Kafue National Park. On arrival at Busanga Plains you will be transferred by a helicopter for your short flight to Kapinga Camp.

Placed on the edge of a 'tree island' overlooking the Busanga Plains, Kapinga Camp offers a unique, isolated wilderness experience. Surrounded by open floodplains dotted with palm and fig tree-filled islands, wildlife and bird life is abundant and diverse. Guests can take part in game drives and walking safaris in and around the Plains, while night drives offer the added excitement of observing the nocturnal wonders of the area.

Day 10:

Today you will return by light aircraft to Lusaka and will road transfer to your hotel.

Day 11:

Road transfer to Lusaka Airport for onward international connection

Note: The sequence of camps is subject to change.
