Location
Choli Mjini Lodge is a 20 minute flight to Mafia from Dar es Salaam. Then a 45 min drive to Utende beach followed by an approximately 15 min boat trip to Choli Mjini. Please note that there is no jetty so you will need to get wet on disembarking the boat. This will involve wading a short distance in water.

Facilities available at Choli Mjini Lodge include:
- Facilities are limited
- This is not really a beach location, but snorkelling in the Marine Park is excellent
- Jean is a qualified PADI diver and will assist others to learn
- There is a restaurant and bar area
- Meals are usually served at group tables with an emphasis on fish dishes and African and European style meals
- Laundry is included
- There is no mains electricity but reading lamps are provided and oil lamps light the way after dark

Scuba diving, snorkelling, organised walks around Chole and nearby ruins, boat excursions to sand banks and isolated islands, village visits and dhow trips

Choli Mjini Lodge offers 6 tree houses with balconies built partially on stilts. These rooms include private bathrooms with long drop toilets, and showers with hot water. 1 room stands on the ground and has a flushing toilet.
