Found in a quiet corner of Tarangire National Park, Sanctuary Swala Camp looks out upon flat savannah and is hidden by giant acacia trees. A nearby waterhole draws out large elephant herds as well as lions, to make game viewing easy for you. Probably the most luxurious camp in the Tarangire, the camp aims to uphold high eco-standards and a low carbon footprint.
The 12 canvas pavilions are beautifully furnished and very exclusive, all of the accommodation looks out upon the nearby waterhole. En-suite bathrooms provide indoor and outdoor showers, with the tent interiors furnished with comfortable sofas and boasting an open-plan layout. Dinners and cocktails can be enjoyed on a private veranda, furthering the wilderness experience and adding a touch of romance to a stay. Shaded under a giant baobab tree and lifted off the ground by stilts, the main area affords wonderful sweeping views of the surrounding area. Under a large thatched roof sits the small library, and lounge area as well as the dining room, while outside views of the waterhole, and the many animals that frequent it can be viewed at leisure from the infinity pool.

Incredibly warm, friendly staff who took care of every detail. Accommodations were as great as one could expect for "Glamping"- basically, upscale hotel rooms with canvas walls and zippered doors. Ziegfried (sp?) was a great guide.
