Set against the backdrop of the 450,000 acre Abu Concession in the Okavango Delta, Abu Camp offers a unique wildlife experience. The Okavango is home to Africa's largest elephant population and incredibly beautiful scenery. The camp is extremely well established, with 20 years of experience in elephant safaris, as such, while staying at the camp guests are able to interact with habituated elephants, offering an amazing insight into their lives and affording guests a true once in a lifetime experience.
There are a total of 6 en-suite rooms, all of which are elegantly decorated and furnished. While the accommodation is tented, the rooms are a far cry from any normal tent, with each room spacious, airy and reminiscent of a hotel room. Wooden decking raises the tents off of the ground for sweeping panoramic views of the Delta and the neighbouring lagoon, a hotspot for wildlife.
The communal dining tent and lounge offer similar views of the area, which can be explored by mokoro (dug-out canoe), on foot or by vehicle. Guests can share stories around the evening campfire, with award winning wine, delicious meals and sundowners ending the day in style. The camp also offers a gym and a unique star-bed, overlooking the elephant's enclosure for guests wishing to feel even closer to one of Africa's most majestic creatures.
Abu Camp is an approximately 30 minute flight from Maun and 1 hour 30 flight from Kasane. The camp is a short drive from the airstrip.
Bird watching, elephant interaction (with some exceptions), game drives, game walks, mokoro trips (availability dictated by water levels).

Review of Abu Camp
My favorite! I could have moved into this place. The bathroom and dressing areas were spacious, elegant and comfortable. The attention to detail in both the public and private spaces were phenomenal.
