Found in the Xakanaxa section of the Moremi Game Reserve, Camp Moremi affords guests some of the Okavango Delta's most spectacular scenery. Vast floodplains mingle with Mopane forest and provide an inviting home for some of Africa's most famous inhabitants. Quietly tucked away amongst ebony trees Camp Moremi is constructed from traditional timber and thatch, lending a pleasing layer of authenticity.
Unwind in the pool and enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon from and elevated deck. The boma area is ideal for a spot of afternoon tea, the library and lounge perfect for relaxing and the dining room an arena for culinary magic. Capable of accommodating only 22 guests, the lodge offers traditional safari tents, raised high off the ground on polished wooden platforms that extend as private viewing decks.
Activities from the lodge are excellent and conducted by expert guides, with both land and water-based excursions on offer. Explore the area by open 4x4 game vehicles and track lion and rare African wild dog. Discover spectacular species of water bird with motorboat rides along the Delta along with a number of water dwelling wildlife, including hippo, and big game that come to the water's edge to quench their thirst.
