Chobe Safari Lodge

Chobe Safari Lodge is a large and good value property, catering for a variety of accommodation needs. Situated in the town of Kasane in north east Botswana it has a superior spot directly adjacent to the Chobe National Park and overlooking the wide Chobe River. The Chobe National Park is famous for its large elephant and buffalo herds and lies on the banks of the Chobe River, just above its confluence with the Zambezi River.

Chobe Safari Lodge offers 46 Luxury Safari Rooms, 22 Luxury River Rooms and 8 Rondavels. Family rooms with a separate children room (bunk beds) are also available. All the rooms have stunning views of Chobe River. The communal area comprises a large thatched building which houses reception, a large restaurant and bar, curio shop, small salon and an activity booking office. Nearby a large pool and patio area with loungers and tables and chairs overlooks the river.

Getting There

The lodge is a short distance from Kasane Airport which receives international flights and flights from all over Botswana. The lodge is a couple of hours from Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Activities

Game drives and scenic game flights, game viewing by boat, fishing, walking, birding safaris (seasonal) and visits to a Namibian village. There are also day trips to Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta.

I HATED this hotel. I would NEVER suggest that this hotel ever be used again for a honey moon. It was like going to summer camp. We looked at the Bush Lodge across the street and its a little nicer but still a larger hotel.
