It might be camping but it doesn't feel like it. Comfortable and great facilities. Blu and the team were fantastic. Big five in one drive!

Absolutely loved Chobe under Canvas. We would have loved to have stayed for another few nights. A very 'rustic' feeling but not much of a 'compromise' on facilities/comfort. Wonderful beds with duvets, wonderful food, and a great atmosphere. Will definitely come back. Are looking at the & Beyond Expeditions already!

Had an amazing river cruise prior to the drive to the to Chobe under canvas, saw hippos, elephants, crocs and all manner of birds on the banks. Arrived late in the afternoon at the camp which consisted of 6 tents and was very hot and dusty in October with masses of bugs. Tents were very comfortable and provided all the modern amenities, shower (canvas bucket) toilet and nice big bed. Meals were good, amazing what the staff could produce out in the middle of nowhere e.g. roast chicken and chocolate pudding. The game experience was also good as lots of animals can be seen along the rivers edge, particularly on the early morning and late afternoon game drives. Our guide was excellent and spotted a carcass of an impala in a tree (not sure how it blended so well), and located a mother leopard and a cub feeding, then playing. He also managed to locate a different mother and cub, the mother lazing on a branch of the tree whilst the cub played in the fork below. He was exceptional and spotting things whilst driving along and our game viewing experience was made all the better for his skill. Also saw huge numbers of baboon heading from the grassy area of the river back into the shelter of the bush, buffalo just lazing under trees and a large herd of elephants heading to the river to cool off and drink. Only down side of this camp was the time of year made it extremely hot and uncomfortable particularly during the time between the morning and afternoon game drive (around 5 hours). The heat was over the top at about 40c and the bugs were just so annoying you had no choice but to sit in the very hot tent to escape the bugs, other than this I would certainly return but at another time of year when it isn't so hot.

Chobe Under Canvas is a great idea - benefits include being in the national park and having a head start on everyone else first thing in the morning. The land at this time of year is a little bit barren but the sunsets and rises were still striking over the dusty landscape and there's plenty to see - also sitting round the 'bush tv' as the lightening lit up the sky beyond was an incredible experience. The tents however do need upgrading (this is really more camping than glamping so you do need to be prepared for that) and we had serious issues with our toilet which prompted a serious fly infestation which was unfortunate. Two nights max I think for this particular experience.

The camp staff at Chobe Under Canvas were wonderful. They made us feel so welcome and part of a family. The food was utterly superb (considering it was cooked in a camp kitchen!), the tents were incredibly comfortable and despite the wind & dust, always clean & tidy. And Doshi, our guide, was First Class - always seemed to know where to go, always seemed to get in the best position for the best photographs, and seemed to know everything about everything. Couldn't have asked for a better guide.

Chobe Under Canvas was amazing, we loved it. There were five tents set around a camp fire with a communal dining area and bar. The tents were spacious with comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and their moto 'a home away from home' was spot on. We could not fault this camp in any way, our stay was truly memorable and the staff made us feel so special. We were lucky enough to have the camp to ourselves on our last night and we returned from our game drive to a nice hot shower and bottle of champagne in our room. Dinner under the stars was something we will remember for a very long time and the food was fantastic throughout our stay. We would like to say a very special thank you to all at Chobe Under Canvas including Meyer our guide, Robson the camp manager, Prince the chef and Jameson, John and the rest of the team for looking after us so well.

Amazing, amazing. Saw so many different kinds of game and wildlife - the staff at Chobe were fantastic, such hard workers, we really appreciated everything they did for us. Delicious food! We couldn't get over the quality of food they were serving us, not to mention cut crystal stemware (!) made on their make-shift kitchen in the desert. Just fantastic all around.
