Duma Tau Camp

Duma Tau means 'roar of the lion' yet it is its massive elephant concentrations and outstanding wildlife in general for which it is renowned. It is situated close to the source of the Savute Channel on one of the many lagoons within the Linyanti Swamp system, which makes game drives along the Savute one of the highlights of a stay here. The camp lies under a shady grove of mangosteen trees, raised off the ground to overlook a large hippo-filled lagoon.

Camp exterior Sunken Deck Guest Tent Interior

Duma Tau Camp was lately rebuilt and offers 10 tents in total, all under thatch with canvas walls, en-suite bathroom facilities and an outside shower. The decor is luxuriantly rustic. Each tent has views over the floodplains and lagoon and more views are available from the expansive decks of the communal areas, as well as the decked pool area.

Getting There

By Air: DumaTau is an approximately 45 minute flight from Maun and 50 minute flight to Kasane. The camp is a 35 minute drive from the airstrip.

Activities

Duma Tau Camp offers day & night game drives, game walks & hides (including an underground hide) & fishing. Linyati Marsh boat excursions are available.
