Boasting an impressive situation on the banks of the Boteti River, Leroo La Tau is an intimate lodge that works well as a base for exploring the wildlife rich surrounds. After almost having been dried up for almost two decades the Boteti River now flows once again and is a great attraction to local wildlife. Guests can enjoy casual game viewing from the raised vantage of the lodge, which rests 10 metres above the river. There is also a hide; similarly raised off of the ground and offering wonderful game viewing at your leisure.
There are only 12 well-appointed suites at the property, all of which feature en-suite bathrooms charming glass fronts with excellent views and charming furnishings. The rooms are elevated on wooden decking for greater vistas of the surrounding natural beauty, which serves as a veranda area from which to watch game and unwind when not out on activities. All suites feature ceiling fans to keep rooms cool, tea and coffee making facilities, and mosquito nets and bug spray to deter unwanted visitors.
The main guest area comprises a comfortable lounge, a dining area, where a range of delicious cuisine is served up, and a bar great for evening cocktails. There is also a swimming pool to relax in. Activities from the lodge are excellent, with both day and night game drives; affording a unique window into the lives of nocturnal wildlife, and boating depending on whether the river's water levels are high enough.
