Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp

Ideally positioned to explore the magnificence of the Okavango Delta, &Beyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp is located on an exclusive 25 000 hectare (61 775 acre) wildlife concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. Sharing the floodplains with large herds of elephant and buffalo are lion, cheetah, leopard and African wild dog and hippos inhabit the deeper channels and lagoons.

Nxabega blends skilfully with the environment with 9 exclusive tented suites set on raised wooden platforms, tucked beneath a canopy of ebony trees. Each spacious tent features ensuite bathrooms and private verandas overlooking the reeded floodplain. Made from local timber, reed and thatch, the guest areas include indoor and outdoor dining areas, a Safari Shop and a swimming pool with an expansive viewing deck. Private bush dinners, breakfasts in bed, lamplit cocktails on a river island or a walking safari with al fresco picnic are all provided with pleasure by Nxabega's warm and friendly staff.

Getting There

Light aircraft from Maun or Kasane to Pom Pom airstrip in the Okavango Delta followed by an approximately 45 min drive to the camp.

Activities

Game drives, bush walks, mokoro (dugout canoe), motorised boat cruises and a children's programme including fishing.

Wonderful. Incredibly gorgeous and well maintained (perfect - flawless) camp from a physical infrastructure perspective - the rooms were an excellent intersection of tent and luxury. Staff and guides were all extremely engaged with all of us - truly an extraordinary people experience at Nxabega. Never a service misstep - if we mentioned that something wasn't perfect, it was fixed within hours. If someone didn't feel well, medicine and lotions…
