Royal Tree Lodge

Explore Botswana

Royal Tree Lodge is shaded by beautiful indigenous trees on the banks of the Thamalakane River. Situated at the very gateway to the Okavango Delta, the lodge offers an invigorating sense of old world charm and comfortable accommodation. Discover a wide range of species from bright and colourful birdlife to the wildlife of classic Africa; with the chance to track elephant, lion, hippo and rhino in the Moremi Game Reserve.

Expeditions are led by expert guides, with the lodge director lending his 40 years worth of experience to enhance your safari. The main guest area at Royal Tree is traditionally thatched and opens out onto a large decking area. A great place to unwind when not enjoying safari activities, relax on one of the leather sofas, with a drink by the bar or in the cool waters of the lodge pool. Dinners at the property are delicious, with candle lit al fresco dining the order of the day. It's also a great chance for guests to meet one another and share stories of the days exploits.

Accommodation takes the form of tented room and honeymoon chalets. The chalets are great for added privacy and nicely furnished with king size beds, large sunken baths and outdoor showers. The tented rooms are en-suite and raised off of the ground on wooden decking.
