Tubu Tree is a small camp built on the western side of Hunda Island, in the Okavango Delta's Jao Concession. Generally a water-inundated area, during the floods this is the largest stretch of dry land in the area, so Tubu Tree usually has the most diverse game viewing experience within the concession. The area is a combination of open grasslands, dry forest and shallow floodplains. Therefore game viewing is varied, including giraffe, elephant, lion, warthog, lechwe, hippo, leopard, cheetah, tsessebe, buffalo plus all plains game.
Tubu Tree Camp offers 9 tents (including a family unit) on raised platforms with elevated walkways connecting them. All tents have verandas overlooking the floodplains with spectacular views and en-suite facilities with an indoor and outdoor shower. The main dining, lounge areas and pool are also raised with commanding views of the wonderful scenery while an open bar area is shaded by the canopy of a large marula tree.
Tubu is an approximately 35 minute flight from Maun and 1 hr 30 flight from Kasane. It is a 10 minute drive from the airstrip to the camp.
Day and night drives, walking safaris, mokoro rides, boat activities and fishing on a catch and release basis. Water-based activities subject to water levels.

Review of Tubu Tree Camp
We felt the place looked tired and needed a revamp.. We felt the lady game range TJ to be a bit condescending but overall we had a lovely trip. Management and staff particularly Cristelle and her team were fantastic! .
Very friendly and hospitable atmosphere reminded me of a welcoming Ski Chalet holiday
