andBeyond Xaranna Tented Camp is situated in its own 25 000 hectare (62 000 acre) wildlife concession on the edge of the permanent Okavango Delta. The area is home to a large number of species, including the elegant red lechwe and shy sitatunga. Whist supporting the continent's largest surviving concentration of elephant and buffalo, lion prides, cheetah, leopard and African wild dog are encountered, while families of hippo hide in the deeper channels and lagoons.
The camp hosts 9 sleek ensuite safari tents with breath taking views over the channel. Each tented suite also boasts a romantic sala and a private plunge pool. The guest areas, all positioned carefully to maximise the sweeping views out across the channels, include a spacious reading area, dining area and fully stocked Safari Shop.
Fly into the Pom Pom airstrip, a mere 25 minute flight from Maun (90 minute flight from Kasane), followed by a 10 minute game drive and 40 minute boat ride into camp (depending on water levels).
Game drives, boating, bird watching, mekoro (traditional dugout canoe) trips, and guided walks. Helicopter transfers and flights available at an extra cost. Fishing is permitted between the months of March and December.

Review of Xaranna Okavango Tented Camp
Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp was the last of the three &Beyond; properties that we stayed at in Botswana and was probably the best located and most 'luxurious', although Nxabega comes a very close second! We had a particularly well-situated 'tent', right on the Okavango channel, which was alive with hippo and elephant. Andre, Kaye and their team really looked after us and the accommodation was excellent, with an air-conditioning unit…
Excellent animals - loved seeing the rhinos and the wild dogs. Food was very good. Common area was a little dated. Really enjoyed the delta boat ride in Xaranna and very impressed that when they were down a boat (for maintenance), they seamlessly procured another boat from their sister camp so we could all ride. Henry, the camp manager, did an excellent job of taking care of my mother…
