Designed by famous wildlife film makers Beverly and Derek Joubert, and offering a wonderfully authentic safari experience, Zarafa Camp was specially intended to place guests in the heart of the wilderness, for great game viewing and safari activities. The property is found in the Selinda Reserve which spans a massive 320,000 acres and is home to incredible herds of elephant, which are known to pass near to camp, as well as lion and the rare African wild dog. Guests can explore the surrounds with exciting game drives and bush walks and there's also the chance to take to the Zibadianja Lagoon with boating safaris.
Accommodation at the camp consists of 4 large tented suites that overlook the lagoon and are shaded by Red ivory and ebony trees. Bringing guests closer to the wilderness, in classic safari style, sit out on the veranda and admire game as they pass by or take to the plunge pool to relax in luxury. The tents are raised slightly off the ground on wooden platforms and are beautifully furnished, with interiors exuding an air of safaris of old. In-keeping with eco-principles all electricity in camp is solar powered and rooms are serviced daily. Thanks to the Joubert's experience in designing the camp, guests are not only afforded a premier safari camp but one that delivers with incredible wildlife sightings.
