Discover Duba Plains Camp

The 77,000-hectare Duba Plains Reserve in Botswana's Okavango Delta, is a wildlife connoisseur's getaway, with thousands of animals in a matrix of palm-dotted islands, flood plains, and woodland. The renowned Duba Plains Camp sits in the heart of the reserve and offers 5 bespoke tents and a separate 2 bedroom suite, all designed to blend into the forest and evoke the old classic African safari style of the 1920s.

Each of the guest tents has a private veranda, lounge area, and en-suite facilities. The tents also come with their own private plunge pool and outdoor undercover sala/day rest area. The camp's main area consists of a dining room and comfortable lounge as well as a wine cellar and library. The camp's centre-point is the gathering place of all bush experiences - an extended deck into the swamp under the giant ebony trees.

The camp is owned by the acclaimed, National Geographic filmmakers, conservationists and explorers, Derek and Beverly Joubert, and the Duba Plains area is where the couple filmed their famous documentary Relentless Enemies, a documentary about the tense relationship between lions and buffalo. The area is well-known for the incredible interactions between these two great beasts but also for a huge array of wildlife from leopards and elephants to interesting Kalahari species like aardwolves and pangolins.
