Jacana Camp
Found in the incredible Okavango Delta, Jacana Camp provides an incredible wilderness experience, from breath taking backdrops to large numbers of game. Sitting on the boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve in the private Jao Concession, the camp is surrounded by floodplains and as such is boarded by water on all sides, providing a unique island ambience for a safari.
The camp possesses tented accommodation and only 5 rooms in total, adding to the tranquillity of the area by their quiet intimacy. Raised above the ground on wooden decking the Meru-style tents provide excellent views of the Delta and are complete with a spacious en suite bathroom. Guests can choose between standard tents and a family tent. One of the standard tents features a king size bed while the other 3 feature twin beds and the family tent can sleep two adults and two children.
The majority of activities from camp are water based with game drives also on offer. In the dry season guests are treated to sightings of lion, cheetah and leopard, drawn to the area by zebra and wildebeest. Crocodiles, sitatunga antelope and hippo are fixtures of the area and frequently sighted. To relax the lodge provides guests with a plunge pool and bar area.
