Jao Camp is located on an island, surrounded by riverine forests and vast floodplains within Botswana’s Okavango Delta. A lush haven for wildlife attracted to the waterways and lagoons, as well as the dry Kalari grasslands, Jao Camp can offer both land and water experiences, depending on water levels. Within a private reserve, Jao Camp has 5 luxurious suites and 2 ultra-luxe family / double villas, each with an expansive deck and plunge pool.

Jao Camp is a sculptural marvel of natural and recycled materials comprising steel, wood, and glass. The main area is elevated into the tree canopy with a lounge and dining area, rim flow pool, library, spa, and museum. There’s also a boma for dining under the stars, complimented by an excellent wine cellar. The camp’s suites and villas are all individually handcrafted and with an open-plan design and an expansive deck with a plunge pool for afternoon relaxing or siestas. They all look out over the floodplains. Each of the family / double villas comes with a private butler, chef, guide, and vehicle.
