Machaba Camp is located in the game-rich Khwai Concession, a 35 000 hectare reserve situated in the northeastern Okavango adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve. Cats and other predators such as hyenas are prolific in the area and due to the permanent water surrounding the camp, outstanding birdlife adds an extra dimension to your wildlife viewing. Hippos are abundant and you can expect to fall asleep to the sound of them wallowing nearby.
The camp has a classic 1950's style, with 10 luxury safari tents, including 2 family tents. All the tents are situated on ground level and the pathways to the tents meander between the large riverine trees. Within the main area of the camp, you can enjoy both European-style buffets and fireside dining with a view of the nearby river. The camp also offers a pool area and spa treatments to help you to unwind.

Overall a great location. Some hiccups (snake in the tent when we arrived, no staff around to assist) but great staff, excellent food, and very luxurious tent.
