Mokete

A safari camp that places you in the heart of nature’s drama. Opened in 2024, Mokete is located on the untouched and untamed Mababe Depression, which is found on the eastern fringe of the Okavango Delta. The area is the nearest water source for thousands of animals in the dry season, making it perfectly located for a unique wildlife experience. Mokete encourage guests to forget the traditional safari routine and allow the flow of their day to be decided by nature.

Mokete’s exclusivity continues in camp and with only 9 tented suites, meaning there will be no more than 18 guests at one time. The tented suites promise intimate nature experiences, whilst retaining the utmost comfort and indulgence. They have forgone walls and added canvas roofs that slide away, allowing guests to sleep under the stars and enjoy a Star Bed experience without having to relocate for the night.

A visceral Botswana safari experience, with arguably the best viewing of mega-herd aggregations alongside exceptional predator-prey interaction. Through high-value, low-impact tourism, it is Mokete’s aim to help conserve the crucial ecosystem area.
