We promote a circular economy by partnering with Joinery to create our client booking packs and luggage tags made from recycled plastic bottles.

Every single Mahlatini journey contributes to local initiatives that protect biodiversity and support community-led conservation efforts. Regenerative travel goes beyond travelling with a sustainable partner, it’s about getting under the skin of a country and allowing it to change you irrevocably. We’ve designed our journeys in such a way that the lodges you stay in, the meals you eat, the communities you visit, the artisans you learn from, the cultural practices you learn, and the animals you admire are all protected and uplifted by your travels. Here are some examples of community upliftment our clients get involved in:

• Supporting SATUBO to empower women from across Northern Kenya through their craft of ancestral beadwork to foster positive social and economic change.

• Spending a morning farming with Mama Christina and the crew at Moya we Khaya in Khayelitsha to make a difference in the lives of local residents.
