Kumarakom Lake Resort

Kumarakom Lake Resort sits on the edge of Lake Vembanad, seamlessly blending traditional Keralan architecture with modern luxuries. Spread over 25 acres of lush greenery, it is where the then King Charles chose to spend his 65th birthday. The resort's luxurious rooms and villas are built from materials salvaged from 16th-century Kerala homesteads (manas), with many relocated from their original sites and meticulously reassembled to preserve every authentic detail.

The spacious rooms and villas blend period-style decor with modern comforts. Some rooms offer views of Lake Vembanad, while others overlook the meandering pool or gardens. The Presidential Suite and Heritage Villas come with the added luxury of private swimming pools. A standout feature of the villas and suites are the open-roofed, courtyard-style bathrooms that combine traditional design with modern luxury. The Meandering Pool Villas are especially unique, offering direct access to the pool with step entrances from each villa. Families can request extra beds in any room or suite. Dining options include Ettukettu, a multi-cuisine restaurant, Vembanad, a seafood specialty restaurant For an authentic local experience, the resort also offers a traditional Thattukada, serving tea and local snacks. The Ayurvedic spa offers a variety of treatments, along with yoga and meditation, and the resort can arrange excursions, boat rides, and activities for children
