Tranquil Resort is tucked away peacefully, within a sprawling coffee and vanilla plantation. Located in the remote and lush rainforest of Wayanad, in northern Kerala, much of the experience is to enjoy the serene surroundings and recharge your batteries. It is very personalised by the family in charge. Your hosts Ajay & Nisha are ever present and available to take care of any needs and answer any of your questions.
The property is expansive and, apart from the coffee shrubs, also has all kinds of shade trees and beautiful landscaping. The accommodation is designed to be reminiscent of an olden day planter's bungalow. The family occupy the main house while there are 10 units for guests, all varied with the 2 tree houses offer far-reaching views over the treetops and surrounding countryside. The Pool Villa at Tranquil is an independent, secluded 3-bedroom villa. All meals are at the in-house restaurant. A buffet spread is laid out for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a mix of local, Indian, and Continental fare. Private candlelit dinners by the swimming pool can also be arranged. There is also high tea and snacks every evening. For chill out time there’s a swimming pool and spa and if you fancy being more active, there’s hiking trails, plantation tours and visits to the nearby Edakkal Caves, Muthanga Wildlife Park, Kanthampara Waterfalls, Jain Temple and Sulthan Bathery.
