Tarangire River Camp
Set within a concession area of 25,000 hectares, Tarangire River Camp provides guests with a traditional safari experience, with the vast and diverse landscape of Tarangire National Park stretching out before them. The lodge overlooks a branch of the Tarangire River and is a prime location for game viewing.
There are 20 rooms, including 5 family units. Each tent is on a raised wooden platform with a thatched roof above and features an en-suite bathroom. Guests are treated to fantastic views from their private verandas, with some tents overlooking the river, which dries up in the dry season, while other tents provide views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in the distance. The camp provides a main area used as a lounge and dining area, with a second floor acting as a viewing platform. Families in the nearby Maasai villages create handmade crafts that are available for purchase at the small lodge shop, adding a further layer of authenticity to the experience.

What a nice camp! We heard lots of animal sounds at night, it was amazing! Early one morning from their tent my children saw ( and filmed) thousands of zebras and wildebeasts crossing the river!
