Situated in the Gonarezhou National Park, Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge holds an excellent cliff top location that offers fantastic views of the Save River, just below, and the lush greenery that lines its banks. The lodge boasts incredibly knowledgeable guides, whose passion for the wilderness is certainly infectious. With the banks of the river just below it, game viewing from the lodge is made easy; the water source is particularly popular with buffalo and elephant. There is a very powerful community and conservation story which is at the center of how the lodge operates.
This is an 'old Africa' camping experience. Accommodation is very comfortable and well designed. The 10 en-suite lodges feature a private balcony which naturally affords excellent views and is the perfect place for casual game viewing in-between activities. For families or larger groups a family lodge is provided, sleeping up to 6 people and possessing a kitchen and private garden. At the main lodge there is everything you need; a shaded swimming pool, a sumptuous lounge, a library, a bar and dining room, all surrounded by beautifully tended gardens.
