This adventure holiday combines a safari in the Okavango Delta with a quad biking camping adventure in the heart of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. You will begin by flying in to Splash Camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta. With access to both the permanent waterways of the Delta and expansive dry land areas, the camp offers a range of activities including game drives, night drives, mokoro and motor boat excursions, nature walks and seasonal fishing. You can expect to see consistent sightings of predators, including lion, cheetah and leopard as well as herds of elephants, giraffe, zebra, sitatunga, lechwe, impala and hippos as well as abundant varieties of birdlife.
Follow this unforgettable safari with a stay at Jack's Camp in the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, where you can get up close and personal with a gang of incredibly friendly habituated meerkats or go walking with a group of Zu/'hoasi Bushmen for a glimpse into their ancient culture. There are game drives too, allowing you to experience unique desert wildlife and, during the wet season, there's the spectacular migration of zebra and wildebeest - the second biggest in Africa. Finally you will quad bike across the vast expanse of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans to reach the fabled Kubu Island where you will camp for two nights on the island, sleeping under a seemingly endless sky of stars and surrounded by towering baobabs and huge boulders.
