It’s an intense, immersive Indian safari experience, and focuses in tightly on two of central India’s most prolific wildlife parks – Kanha and Pench. Both parks are home to thriving populations of tiger, as well as leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs and other thrilling wildlife.
After a brief pit-stop in Delhi you will fly into the heart of India and travel by road to Kanha National Park. Your accommodation here is Shergarh, a simple, intimate wildlife lodge with just 8 tents. Owner run for over twenty years, Shergarh offers superb family-friendly service, home-cooked meals, and spacious, well-appointed tents. Owners Katie and Jehan raised their own children here and they will, alongside their wonderful team, do all they can to ensure you have the very best experience of Kanha possible. The wildlife viewing in the park is exceptional, with tiger sightings frequent, and a whole host of other fascinating mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds to enjoy. You will have your own naturalist and spotter with you to ensure that nothing is missed when on safari.
From Kanha you will travel by road to Pench, the inspiration for Kipling’s The Jungle Book. Equally as rich in animals as Kanha, Pench is a superb park and affords some wonderful sightings. The Pench Tree Lodge where you will stay is situated in a largely untouched patch of land not far from the park gates. Nightly bonfires, al fresco meals, very well-trained naturalists, and top-quality accommodation all add to your wildlife experience here. Fly back to Mumbai armed with a lifetime of memories.
