Explore this colourful spice-trading port on foot with your guide, delving into its fascinating history, visiting sights such as the Dutch Mattancherry Palace. Take in a Kathakali dance show in the evening, a blend of dance and theatre with amazing costumes.
Move on then to Munnar, a hill station located in Kerala’s prime tea growing country. Stay at Windermere Estate, where there are sublime views over the mist-shrouded, shimmering green valleys and hills. Dive into the world of tea with a plantation visit and time at the tea museum. There are some great walks in the area as well. Drop down from the tea hills and into the spice plantations and jungles of the Periyar National Park. The Periyar National Park is home to almost 250 bird species, and around 120 different types of butterflies.
