Stay in local accommodation from start to finish, including some superb mountain lodges with cosy beds and roaring fires. This is true bucket list adventure done in style and comfort.

Begin your journey in Kathmandu, the very name conjuring up many exotic images. Dive into the chaos and excitement of this fascinating city and with your guide and explore Patan, the Swayambhunath temple, and Boudhnath Stupa. Head out of the city then and to Bandipur, an ancient Newari town with superb views over the Marsyangdi Valley and to the high Himalayas. Explore Bandipur’s historical architecture with your guide before you journey to Pokhara, the gateway city to the Annapurna range. From here, trek for 5 days from one small village to another and spend the nights in quaint mountain lodges. The hiking is an average of 4-5 hours per day and the scenery is sublime. See huge mountains such as Annapurna South from very close quarters - true bucket list stuff. After the trek, recover at the relaxing Sarangkot Mountain Lodge. Swim in the infinity pool with its panoramic Himalayan views, have a spa treatment and simply relax and enjoy the mellow surroundings of Lakeside. Return then to Kathmandu with many miles of fantastic trekking under your belts and some wonderful stories to share with loved ones back home.
