This fly-in itinerary takes you to Namibia's most remote reaches for an exclusive experience of the country's Damaraland, Kaokoland and Etosha regions. From Windhoek, you will head north in a light aircraft to the 450 000-hectare Palmwag Concession in Damaraland, an area of rolling, rocky hills. Here you can expect tranquil, minimalist beauty, a host of arid-adapted wildlife and the largest free-roaming black rhino population in Africa.
You will stay in a Meru-style canvas tent at Desert Rhino where the focus is the rhinos which you can track on foot or in a vehicle. Then take a further light aircraft flight to Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, which is in one of the most remote areas of the Kaokoveld. The camp is flanked by rugged hills and overlooks starkly beautiful scenery. On offer are game drives and nature walks to showcase the fascinating landscapes and wildlife of the area. There is also the opportunity to join a full-day excursion to the Skeleton Coast, a rocky coastline with a huge Cape fur seal colony as well as interesting shipwreck remains. Conclude the journey with a Big 5 safari at Anderssons at Ongava in the Ongava Private Reserve, sharing a common boundary with the Etosha National Park. Ongava is considered one of the finest private game reserves in the region, enjoying global recognition for exceptional conservation, groundbreaking research and exciting safari adventures.
