Your tailor-made family holiday to Seychelles

Denis Island - Giant Aldabra Tortoise Activities - Children Fishing Nature Bird Conservation

A superb family itinerary to Denis Private Island, a Seychelles tropical paradise, where nature and wildlife are very much at the forefront of memorable holiday moments. Let your children discover unique and engaging activities - perfect for nurturing inquisitive and creative minds.

Your stay in Seychelles starts with a couple of nights at the 5* STORY Seychelles resort on the main island of Mahe, just a 30minute transfer from the international airport. Beside the main Beau Vallon Bay with it's many water sports, the first couple of days lets you 'acclimatise' to the Seychelles climate and relaxed way of life - either taking advantage of all the facilities at the resort, or perhaps going on a short excursion to see more of the main island of Seychelles.

Then it's time to head off to the airport, but this time to take your thrilling 30-minute light aircraft flight to Denis Island. As soon as you land on the grass runway, you know you are in a special place - you and your family's island 'playground' for a few days at least. The friendly island team are always on hand to help you discover the island at your leisure, either on foot, or by bicycle. Be dazzled by the 'whitest of white' sand beaches and indulge in some tropical beachcombing, enjoy a family picnic on the beach and be sure to spend some time snorkelling to see an array of colourful tropical fish; if you are lucky enough, you may also see turtles too! Alternatively, just spend some time by the main infinity swimming pool.

On land, be sure to book a trip with Denis's resident ecologist to discover all about the island's other inhabitants, mostly birds, but many other animals too. This will also include time with some of the island's older resident's, the giant Aldabra tortoises, the oldest of which is Toby at over 120 years! Diving and fishing are excellent in the waters around Denis and the cuisine, all freshly prepared by the island's chef's, is simply outstanding, including the daily ice cream flavour! Although there's no kids club on Denis, the children, as well as the grown up's, are assured of a fascinating Seychelles family holiday that will be remembered for years to come.
