The essence of this trip is the journey from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, across a tapestry of Southern African landscapes. After a stay at the Cape Grace hotel on the V&A Waterfront, you will join your fellow passengers in the wood-panelled dining cars of the Rovos Rail. Meander through the scenic Cape winelands, the haunting barrenness of the Great Karoo and into the gold-rich Highveld. Continue on through Zimbabwe, marvelling at its scenic beauty and ending at Victoria Falls, where you will stay at the classic Victoria Falls Hotel for 2 nights. This will allow you the time to fully appreciate the Falls and to enjoy the area's many activities such as river cruises.
Whilst Rovos Rail does pass through Hwange National Park enroute to Victoria Falls, this trip flies you back there via light aircraft. This is to provide you with a fuller experience of the park and its abundant wildlife and to provide the opportunity for a luxury safari at Linkwasha Camp. Hwange serves up some of the best game viewing on Earth, year-round, enjoy on day and night game drives and walking safaris.
