Adventure, culture, gorillas and big game, it's all packed into this 10-day trip. Start with 3 nights in Jinga on the banks of the River Nile you will stay at WildWaters Lodge. The adrenaline sports capital of East Africa with a huge number of activities available from white water rafting and bungee jumping to quad biking and horse riding.
Then enjoy a scenic flight over to the Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will stay in 2 different regions of the park. At Mweya Lodge you will have the opportunity to view a wide variety of animals from game drive vehicles as well as a unique boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Wildlife in the park include lion, elephant, cape buffalo, leopard, hyena, Ugandan Kob, hippo and prolific bird life. Whilst staying at Ishasha Wilderness Camp in the Ishasha sector of the park, look out for the tree climbing lions which are unique to this region.
A highlight for the family, next is your gorilla tracking experience staying at Buhoma Lodge in Bwindi National Park. During your Gorilla Tracking (minimum age 15 years), experienced wildlife guides, along with trackers and porters, will accompany you through the evergreen forest. After finding the gorillas, you will have an opportunity to be within meters of these magnificent apes, sharing in their daily lives and experiencing their day-to-day activities.
