For the adventurous at heart, this trip combines a visit to Victoria Falls with an extensive safari in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park, the home of the walking safari. Start at The Royal Livingstone Hotel, located on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, overlooking the Zambezi River and with direct access to the Victoria Falls. The area has an abundance of adventure activities from white water rafting and bungee jumping to boat cruises and helicopter flips over the Falls.
From here fly into the South Luangwa where the walking safari is king. Here most of your outings will be on foot with the very finest guides, but game drives are also on offer, particularly at night when a whole new cast of characters fills the landscape. Your time will be split between Mfuwe Lodge and two remote bushcamps, which offer an intimate and exclusive atmosphere with no more than 8 guests.
