Part of the Watamu Marine Park, Hemingways is great for scuba diving and snorkelling among tropical reefs but Hemingways is most famous for its big game fishing. With a fabulous brand-new day spa, a wide array of international cuisines, numerous water sports and activities, plus a traditional Arabic dhow, this is the perfect way to encounter Kenya's coast.

Relaunching in January 2018 after a two year redesign, the resort has 39 luxury ocean-view bedrooms and 21 spacious, two and four bedroom residences all with ocean views and within yards of the beach. The hotel's amenities include a restaurant and bar, children's playground, garden, gym, Jacuzzi, two swimming pools, spa and airport shuttle service.

Getting There

Catch a flight from Nairobi into Malindi (approx 1 hour's flight) and transfer 20 minutes to Hemingways, or fly into Mombasa (approx 45 minutes) and transfer roughly 1 hour 30 minutes to the resort.

Bird watching, dhow trips, fishing, glass bottom boats, scuba diving, horse riding, snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking, Arabuko-Sokoke Forest, the butterfly farm, Hell's Kitchen, Mida Creek, local villages and Gede Ruins.
