A comfortable camp surrounded by a forest glade, Kitich offers plenty of charm and a classic safari experience. Found on the upper slopes of Mathews Mountains, embrace the remoteness and indulge in the privacy and seclusion the camp affords.
Offering just 6 tents the atmosphere is intimate. Tents are tucked under the shade of trees and offer roomy, yet cosy interiors and superb views of the Ngeng River. All tents are en-suite, with outdoor showers, and provide a comfortable bedroom area, possessing ether double, twin or triple beds.
The main area of camp is very pleasant, with the chance to enjoy views of a lush river glade while taking dinner. Cuisine holds strong Italian influence and is tasty, with fresh organic ingredients and traditional Italian recipes used in its preparation. The area around the camp is incredibly explorable and a number of exciting activities are on offer, including guided walks, swimming in rock pools, game viewing at night and bush picnics. A number of species call the mountains and their hinterland home so you have the chance to see buffalo, bushbuck, elephant, monkeys and a spectacular array of butterflies.
A 2 hour scheduled flight to Ngelai Airstrip or a chartered flight followed by a 45 minute drive to camp.
Guided walks, night game viewing, bush picnics, swimming in rock pools and cultural visits.
