Found in the Lake Nakuru National Park, the Lake Nakuru Lodge is surrounded by rich game, tumbling forested plains and mountains. The lodge takes its name from Lake Nakuru, one of the Great Rift Valley's sprawling soda lakes, home to a significant flamingo population synonymous with the area. A peaceful and comfortable lodge, Lake Nakuru offers a welcome escape from the everyday bustle of life.
Guests can expect a number of different room types, with the lodge capable of accommodating up to 120 guests. There are cottages, suites and larger family rooms for a group or families. Rooms are well furnished, with wooden floors and plain walls. Decor can at times be quite loud, although the rooms are hardly the focal point of a stay here. The views and setting of the lodge are incredible and from the comfort of their rooms, or the swimming pool, guests can enjoy casual game viewing in-between activities, with animals often wandering close to the property. A birder's paradise, flamingos are joined by pelicans and a variety of game, including wild dog, the Rothschild's giraffe and even lion.
The property boasts two bars and wonderful cuisine. Bush barbeques and picnics at the Hippo Pool are on offer and the Baboon Cliff Lookout is perfect for a romantic spot to enjoy incredible panoramas.
