Mara Bushtops Camp is set amid the private Busthops Conservancy, which borders the Masai Mara. It is within striking distance of the beautiful Mara River, where the famous crossing of wildebeest and zebra takes place during the migration season.
Perched on the side of a hill with a scenic valley to the side, the 12 luxury tents and 1 suite/family tent are some of the biggest in Africa and are open on 3 sides to the great outdoors, each with its own special view. Each of the rooms includes an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outside shower, a private wooden deck with telescope and an outdoor sunken tub, perfect for a relaxed sundowner drink at twilight.
A 24 hour butler service is available, allowing guests to dine from an a la carte menu in the privacy of their own tent. The dining room and outdoor spacious veranda overlook a water hole where an abundance of game comes to drink and bathe throughout the day. An infinity pool with incredible views completes the picture.
How to get to Mara Bushtops
There are two nearby airstrips at Siana Springs and Keekorok, offering a choice of direct flights daily to and from Malindi, Mombasa, Diani and Nairobi.
Activities at Mara Bushtops
Game drives, walking safaris, bush picnics, bird watching, cultural outings, themed dinners, hot air balloon safaris (additional cost) and story-telling around the camp fire.
Patricia and Bill Gilmore4
More hotel like than other camps particularly reception and restaurant areas. Same menu for lunch and dinner was a little odd. Could have done with smaller lighter meals at lunch. Lodge itself (Fox) very comfortable with excellent views and we did enjoy the hottub and outside shower.Read full trip review
