Located in Kenya's greater Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Mara Expedition Camp is ideally situated to enable you to truly experience the best of both worlds: the intense action of the incredible Maasai Mara ecosystem, as well as the private 70,000-acre Mara North Conservancy. In addition to being prime leopard territory (the camp is known for its resident leopards who are frequently seen around the camp), the annual wildebeest and zebra migration literally passes in front of your tent, offering you the chance to witness one of the miracles of nature first-hand from the comfort of your private verandah.

You may even have the opportunity to enjoy a full day safari, your breakfast and picnic lunch freshly prepared and packed ready for those days when the wildlife viewing proves too hard to leave. Each of the six light and airy, spacious canvas tents is designed to reflect East Africa's romantic safari era, with rich textiles and hardwood furniture, as well as en-suite bathrooms where you will enjoy piping hot water from huge brass 'safari showers' to a chorus of hippos lazing nearby. The camp is set down low under the grove of African ebony trees, its main area lit only by lantern, a true 'back to the classics' safari design perfect for safari aficionados and private groups. Families will also enjoy the Young Explorers Kid's program, thoughtfully designed to explore various experiences from birding and cooking to art and tracking wildlife tracking.
