Part of a collection of properties situated in the Masai Mara, Mara House is set against the backdrop of the Lemek Hills and rests in the Ol Chorro Losoit valley. The latest edition to the Mara Bush Houses collection, Mara House offers a private safari experience and the independence for guests to do as they wish. With 3 bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, the house is large enough to comfortably accommodate small groups and families, as well as couples. Guests can expect interiors with a bias towards the traditional, instilling the property with a warm African charm.
The house overlooks a nearby waterhole and guests can enjoy casual game viewing sitting out upon the veranda. There is a pool for cooling off in the midday heat, although this is shared with neighbouring Acacia House (another member of Mara Bush Houses). Service is excellent, with a team on hand to offer lunch under acacia trees, picnics in the wilderness and tend to housekeeping.
Staff will prepare all of guests' meals, with an experienced chef operating the kitchen and a knowledgeable, fully qualified guide delivering invigorating safaris. Guests are afforded excellent game drives, including exciting night drives, in an area around 100,000 acres and can also enjoy cultural visits to local villages.
