Found on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, Ol Pejeta Bush Camp presents a true African safari experience, with incredible Big 5 game viewing and expert guiding. Owned and managed by Alex and Diana Hunter, they make their home your own, with excellent service and cosy bush camp character pervading throughout the property. The 90,000 acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy in which the camp is set is synonymous with strong conservation work, housing the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa.
The camp is small and intimate, with only 6 tents. Tents feature either double or twin beds, for families or small groups there is also a family tent that can accommodate up to 4 people. However, for those wishing to enjoy total privacy, the entire camp can be hired out and extra, temporary tents can be added. The camp is unfenced and open, adding to the wilderness experience and providing guests the chance to enjoy some casual game viewing from the comfort of their tents.
When available guests are treated to join the conservation team at Ol Pejeta and track radio collared lion. Guests can also be a part of monitoring various other animals, including elephant. The guides found at the bush camp are all locals and possess an incredible wealth of knowledge regarding the surrounding area, delivering guests a vibrant safari experience.
For private chartered flights there is an airstrip nearby. For scheduled services there is the Nanyuki airstrip, a 45 minute drive from the Conservancy.
