Set on a hillside with views over the Ewasio Nyiro riverbed, Sasaab boasts a great location and authentic accommodation, constructed from local materials. Found on Ngutuk Ongiron Group Ranch; Samburu community land, guests can experience the vibrancy of the local culture and look forward to an incredible safari experience.
The 9 rooms at Sasaab are spacious with comfortable four poster beds and WiFi. From a charming veranda guests can not only enjoy sweeping views but a dip in their own private plunge pool. Bathrooms are huge and feature inviting showers. Rooms are over 100sq metres and are tented with quaint thatch roofs, adding a further layer of African charm.
The lodge is run off of solar power, possesses a main pool, with great river views, and a small spa that offers a range of treatments (which can be enjoyed from the comfort of guests' tents). Meals at Sasaab are delicious, with fresh ingredients, taken from the property's very own vegetable garden, used in preparing cuisine. Oh my goodness a score of 5 is just not enough. This camp is just amazing from start to finish. The personal service and attention to detail is second to none. The location of the lodges, the staff, the accommodation, the game drives all absolutely superb. We loved the plunge pool and the main pool area. The service was incredible. Our guide Daniel was great as was our warrior Samuel - their bush breakfasts were fantastic and in such beautiful locations. Fly camping was just unbelievable; they really do pull out all the stops for this and at no time did we feel unsafe. We could not believe how many people were involved in this evening just to ensure 2 people had an experience of a lifetime and we most definitely did. Oh, nearly forgot, fabulous game sightings!Read full trip review
