Discover Manda Bay

Manda Bay is a boutique lodge set on the tip of an unspoilt, idyllic island in Kenya’s Lamu archipelago. It’s the type of lodge where you can switch off, kick off your shoes and enjoy simplistic beauty in palm thatched cottages. The lodge offers activities such as fishing, snorkelling, cultural visits to the ruins of a Swahili settlement, bird watching, visits to Lamu, watersports, nature drives and sailing on dhows.

All the buildings of the lodge are in keeping with the local landscape and are constructed using palm and driftwood and local building techniques. Every room has a mosquito net, overhead fan and a veranda with chairs and a swing bed. There are 11 beachfront rooms, 5 palm rooms which are slightly further back and on higher ground, and 6 garden rooms in the middle of the property. Around the lodge there are plenty of places to relax including at the main swimming pool, the bar, and the exercise/yoga room. If you would like a spa treatment in a location of your choice, simply chat to one of the friendly staff members. Menus are understandably heavy on local seafood and meals are served dotted around the property and on the beachfront.
