Discover Sarara Treehouses

Sarara Treehouses is one of 3 ecolodges within the Namunyak Conservancy in Northern Kenya. Proudly managed by the Samburu community, the lodges are designed as a platform to build cultural and environmental sustainability. Surrounded by 850 000 acres of pristine wilderness, the iconic treehouse suites are raised up in the forest canopy, allowing wildlife, including elephants and buffalo, to roam the forest floor beneath you. The camp offers immersive and authentic adventures including game drives, mountain hikes, fly camping safaris, moonlit bush dinners, horseback riding, scenic helicopter flights, community visits and excursions to an elephant sanctuary.

Each of the treehouse suites is connected to the main camp area by raised walkways. A unique feature of each suite is the solar-heated shower which is open to the skies and overlooks the forest. There is also a deck with a seating area by day that can also be a star bed by night. The central camp, comprising of lounge and dining area, feels surrounded by the mountains, with dramatic views of the Warges Peak, the highest mountain in the Mathews Range. Dining is generally communal with the other guests and between activities you can continue your game viewing by heading to the infinity swimming pool which overlooks a waterhole.
