Kumbali Country Lodge

Set in 650 hectares of pretty farmland and forest, Kumbali Country Lodge is an excellent accommodation option just outside of Lilongwe, Malawi's capital city. The lodge is warm and cosy, with comfortable furnishings and 16 inviting guest rooms. Featuring a range of amenities, the thatched suites are quite large and set against a beautiful backdrop, lending to a relaxing stay.

Guests can expect overhead and standing fans, mosquito nets over beds, satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, en-suite bathrooms and WiFi. From each room guests can enjoy excellent views from an outdoor seating area.

Cuisine at the lodge is delicious with fine dining options and a well-appointed bar. Lunch can be taken al fresco, while dinner is a la carte or can be served as a 3 course buffet. The lodge also provides a swimming pool for some extra relaxation, with sunbeds and poolside drinks on offer. Activities from the lodge range from day trips to cultural interaction nearby the property. Visits to a traditional Malawian village can be organised and guests can explore the forested reserve on which the lodge is set with walking trails. However, the lodge works best as a stop-over accommodation; a good rest stop before moving on to explore some of Malawi's major attractions.
