Review of The Makokola Retreat
Amazing location and this is a "high end" resort. That said, our rooms were pretty tired. They are building new ones, which will be great - but old ones in need of a refurb (eg old TVs didn't really work, rough bath tub etc). Food very good.
Nice place for the end of the trip. We did not swim in the lake because of the bilharzia risk.
It is hard to comment this place because it was so amazing the week before at Mvuu and Zomba. But objectively we found the people a little less welcoming than in the other places.
