Located at the heart of Malawi's only Big 5 reserve, the revitalised Majete Wildlife Reserve, Mkulumadzi Lodge sits in a 7000 hectare private concession, overlooking tumbling rapids at the meeting point of two rivers. Mkulumadzi is a classic and intimate lodge, offering adventure from the very start, accessible only by crossing the river on a suspended footbridge to enter the camp.
The lodge comprises 8 spacious chalets dotted along the high riverbank, each with a large open bedroom, en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower. As a special feature, the roof of each chalet is covered by a garden of succulents, making the camp more environmentally friendly while keeping the chalets cool. Watch the hippos, crocodiles and even elephant enjoy the flowing waters of the Shire river from your private viewing deck, discover wildlife by 4x4 or on foot, or just take in the sights and sounds of the bush from your lounger by the infinity pool. In the evening, you can enjoy a three course dinner under the stars, and for a truly memorable experience, even sleep under the open African skies in the camp's amazing star-deck.

Holiday to Mkulumadzi Lodge
The Mkulumadzi Lodge setting is spectacular and the accommodation quite luxurious. Compared to Liwonde National Park (Mvuu Lodge) the wildlife in the Majete National Park seemed to be less abundant - particularly for the night drives.
