The weather in the Maldives

Temperatures in the Maldives stays gloriously warm all year round, averaging between 25°C/77°F to 30°C/86°F and only dropping a few degrees at night. As a tropical climate, Maldives has a distinct wet season and a drier season. December to April is considered the best time to visit the Maldives as this is when the weather is drier, warm and less windy.

  • Surfing: March, July to October.
  • Diving: December to April. June to October has limited visibility but chances to spot whale sharks and manta rays.
