Le Prince, Mauritius, outstanding service, room, hotel, activities and, not forgetting the food, absolutely superb!! Breakfast could have been a little better if you compared it to dinner because dinner was something special. From summer truffle, smoked bacon emulsion risotto (our favourite) to the Mauritian buffet (not seen a buffet like it). You could tell this was not 5 but 6*! One complaint: the weather. You associate Mauritius with blue skies but it was overcast and showery :-( Understandably, global warming plays it?s part and it was just coming into their good season but we had, perhaps wrongly, assumed it would be better.

6 star Prince Maurice was the height of luxury and they were extremely helpful throughout the whole holiday! We both though that after the Serondella and Caoe Royale experiences they would have to really push the boat out for the food - they exceeded our expectations as the food was absolutely fantastic. A great and varied choice for breakfast and the evening meal choices were really quite special. They also had 'on the beach' butlers who catered to your every need and even handed out a 'lemon sorbet' every afternoon - very welcome i can tell you! They must ensure that they hold on to their chef as his food was among the best we have ever tasted! Although extras were expensive (drinks, mini bar, room service) a superb hotel and should really be called the King Maurice!

Le Prince Maurice was excellent, although the Mauritours rep was quite difficult to deal with.

Some of the best cuisine of our entire holiday. The Lobster night is not to be missed as it was simply out of this world. Little bit pricey but otherwise top of the range. Fabulous bedroom although we did not get the room on the stilts over the water as we requested. A great stay nonetheless.

I have never stayed in such a luxurious hotel, we were amazed as soon as we arrived at the hotel, it was definielty paradiise. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the fish reserve and the beach and it was so beautiful. The staff could not do enough for you, which we found a bit too much as we are not used to be waiting on so much, they even carried our breakfast bowls to our tables. The hootel offers a variety of activities and we tried as many as we could such as water skiing, windsurfing, boat trips and bike rides. The hotel has something for everyone and is definielty a hotel I would recommend for honeymooners.

We liked this place. We were less enamored with Mauritius. Very luxurious and friendly staff. Extremely comfortable. They catered to our every whim. Dinner served to us in and by our room was excellent. Dining experience in the restaurant itself was dis-organized.

Le Prince Maurice was gorgeous, so clean and the staff were amazingly friendly. But again they gave you space when you wanted it when lying at the beach. I think the only thing we found was it was very expensive at the hotel, although we took a trip into the nearest town and bought a few things. Also there wasnt anything to do at night - At All. After a busy wedding period, then in S.A was all go at the reserve , we wanted to lie back and relax but we found the lack of choice in restaurants or entertainment at night a little repeditive. I think because we went in their winter things perhaps were a little quieter. I cant fault the staff or the hotel at all, we both enjoyed it very much its just to point that out for future guests.

Idyllic Location! Beautiful Beach! But Very Very Expensive for Food & Beverage! We paid 11 euro for a milkshake! Only One Type of Dining Experience at night which was fabulous but became monotonous after ten nights! Fabulous selections of Wines but again expensive! Being Irish we missed having another few Irish there to chat to! We were the only Irish & found that other couples kept to themselves which made it very quiet!

This hotel was amazing. The service was top class. We were made to feel special and find it difficult to find any fault. I think it is worth mentioning to customers about the price of drinks at the hotel. The drinks were expensive but we felt that the cost was well worth it for the superb location and facilities on offer.
