In my footloose days, I took an extended break to travel around the USA, following in the footsteps of my favourite American Football team - the Philadelphia Eagles. It was fascinating to see the differences as I travelled through the numerous states - in food, scenery, politics and popular culture. Louisiana was my favourite and I'd loved to return with my wife and daughter this time.
As an African novice, I'd like to visit South Africa first. The Cape Town office will be the first port of call, but a stay in the Winelands, followed by a Big Five Safari in the Kruger will definitely be included in the itinerary!
I'm passionate about theatre and enjoy regular visits to West End, London. I've stayed in some wonderful properties of the years but the Amba Hotel, Charing Cross holds special memories for me and my wife.
Rhino...it stems from mistaking a rhino for a dinosaur when I was in primary school. I have loved them ever since and to see them in their natural habitat would be such a thrill.
It's a genuine pleasure to work with a tight-knit and passionate team. I learn a little bit more about Africa every day and it's impossible not to be inspired to travel more and experience this wonderful continent myself.
Supporting the opening of the Cape Town office is a particular highlight to date...it's great to be part of a small team that is growing across both hemispheres. Having a HQ in UK and a SA division brings a unique set of challenges but also great rewards.
